History

Aircraft

The Wright brother's third glider was the world's first aircraft with three-axis aerodynamic control, meaning it was the first to successfully pitch, yaw, and roll while in flight. A year later on December 17th, 1903, the Wright brothers flew the first airplanes.

Zeppelins

Ferdinand von Zeppelin, who was a a German general and Aircraft manufacturer, invented the Zeppelin. He was born into a noble family on July 8, 1838. The first zeppelin was unsuccessfully launched on July 2nd, 1900. Zeppelin took a break from his work after the zeppelin didn't work. When he came back to his work a few years later, he launched another zeppelin with a few modifications. October 6, 1906 will mark the first time a zeppelin was flown. After it was successfully flown, the government funded Ferdinand von Zeppelin enough money to make 21 more zeppelins.
